Austin the fish

Austin made me smile to watch him at lake powell. He just would put his arms back and kick his feet and go no where for hours. He got this squirt gun and really wanted to paddle to get the kids and thats the only time he got frustrated he was going no where. Most of the time he was quite content to tread water. He was in the water more than he was out.

Cliff jumping & swimming

What is a trip to powell without a boat trip up the channel looking for cliffs to jump off. We went on a short trip up the channel and when everyone got too warm we stopped and let the kids swim and jump. The places to jump were not the best, there were some sliding rocks, but bill, wade and whit found a good place they could climb up a crack in the wall and jump. When everyone had cooled off we loaded back up and continued on our way.

powell...horseshoes

Nate brought his horseshoe set, and after alot of raking had them set up and ready to go. It was one of the funnest things about the trip. I got a couple good shots of the game.

lake powell crafts

We made lots of fun crafts at Lake powell this year, a few were popcicle stick harmonicas, watches (aspen made hers into a necklace), water bottles, bracelets, duct tape wallets and I know I am forgetting some. That kept the kids busy, when they needed a break from swimming.

Jeff wakeboardn'

Because it has taken me so long to post the rest of the Lake Powell pictures I am going to have to do them in events, instead of days. All the days now are all blurred together. Darren took Jeff wakeboarding while we were there and he popped right out the first time. It took a few times for him to stay up, but he rocked! I was floored. The last time he tried anything like that was when he tried to ski. He ate lake for over an hour before he gave up. Whoot whoot Jeff!!!
