reaction

So austin has decided to have random allergic reactions. I am not sure what he is allergic to but we have him scheduled for testing next week. These reactions strangely enough have all happened on Sundays. jeff thinks maybe he is allergic to church. :) Dr catten says he may be turning into "allergyzilla" i hope not.

For lauren's birthday we had a pretty busy day. She opened presents from her brothers and sisters that morning, and we went and picked up a present from grandma after school. She had a field day at school and brought cupcake for her class. We bought them at sams when we were in ogden and the choices were elmo, barbie, or princesses.I told her to do elmo, cuz the kids would think it was funny. She was mortified. We bought the elmo cupcakes, but i had strict instructions to remove all the elmo rings before delivery. When we picked her up she laughed because i had left one elmo ring on and everyone fought over it. silly girl. I got some cute pictures of her opening presents that morning. she had achievement days that night, and she brought a cake for everyone to share. What truely made her day are the calls she got wishing her a great day,

whit & CT

I don't think CT will ever realize how much of a role model and example she has been to Whitney this year. Seniors typicaly can be quite rude to freshman. This year during softball she was very kind to Whit, and they struck up a freindship. She has been an example to Whitney as a sportsman, 1st baseman, and person. (although Whit will not be doing the splits to catch a ball any time soon) Thank you CT for taking my girl under your wing!

Marathon pics

23 miles down!

thank you zazoosh. :)
I set a goal for myself to run a full marathon this year. I began training Jan 3 with Liz. We would run on our own and when we could run our long days together. I was so nervous because before race day I had never run more than 20 miles continuously. I was proud of my run though. I finished in 4 hours 19 minutes. I wish I had stopped less at bathrooms along the way to save more time, but was proud just the same. Jeff and the kids were at the finish line and that was awesome. Jeff ran a couple blocks with me when i got into Ogden. I even had a little kick left at the end. (it helps when there is someone right in front of you you know you can pass!) Sterling came and had a sign to cheer me into the finish. I loved the entire day. It was alot of fun to train with Liz. She was patient to run at my slower pace. We stayed the night in Ogden and went out with Darren and Liz and got an awesome old fashioned ice cream cone that night. I wouldn't give up this experience, it was very rewarding.

dear zazoosh

Dear zazoosh.com please hurry and post the marathon pictures. I know you are busy, I know there were 4,000 runners and lots of cameras taking pictures of them, but...... I forgot my camera, and my husband didnt take a picture with his phone (which was the plan), and now that the aching muscles are beginning to fade, & I am starting to wonder if I really did that. So please zazoosh, please post pictures. I really want proof that I infact made my body run 26.2 miles. Thank you!

I am so lucky to have such great friends, and fellow CTMH consultants. We had our annual retreat in April at the 6 lakes cabin in Altamont. We had a very silly time, with lots of laughs and tons of food and fun. I could get into more details, but you know......what happens at retreat stays at retreat. Anyway.. awesome pages again ladies! We missed you Kim!

a bit of bragg'n

So I have to brag a little. Whit had her last Region softball game today and came home very giddy. Bink asked to talk to Whitney after the JV game and told her she needed to come by her office tommorrow. Whit said she had no idea why she was worried she was in trouble at first. She asked her "what for" Bink told her she needed to come pick up her pinstripe uniform for varsity. There were only four freshman asked to play with varsity for state and she was one of them. She was very proud of herself. I have been tickled how much she has liked High School softball. It is nice to have coaches she thinks alot of.

Dirty game

What happens when the High School softball game gets rained out? They play in the mud of course. What happens when all the girls are covered in mud???? Jo takes them through the car wash in his truck of course! l'm sure they will all file this away in their fun high school memories.

All Clean after the car wash.

Whit, Sabrina, and Kelly

in the rinse cycle.

What a bunch or dorky girls!

my hottie

I am so proud of Jeff. 4 months of, lots of salads, forgetting to stop at gas stations, many miles of running, trying rice cakes and low carb tortillas, and lots of fruit, and he has lost 70+ pounds. I never thought I would be able to say "my husband and I went for a 9 mile run", but yesterday we did. He went froma 40" pant to a 32". I wonder a bit which one of us is prouder of him. It is in many ways like being married to a younger Jeff. He has so much happier, and has so much more energy.
The other day we were flipping through some pics from a few years ago and the kids chuckled and said "look, it's fat dad"
