Lake powell day 1

This was Austin the entire time. He just stayed behind the boat kicking his feet, not really going anywhere just paddling in place.
Whitney, logan, jackson, Lauren, and Wade on the water weenie.
The castle we worked on the whole trip.

Austin thought Jackson's new boat was pretty neat.

When we got there Darren and Nate had shaved their heads. jeff decided he was game to join them. Dont let Whitney hear you say you want your hair done. She is quick too voulenteer. Kerri said Jeff maybe had shaved his sweater along with his head :) He's a good sport.

Lauren and I

After a long countdown it was finally Lake Powell time. The kids were counting the days a couple weeks in advance. It turned out to be one of the best trips yet. Darren had his houseboat the same week as Dad, so we had plenty of room for everyone.

4th half marathon

Jeff and I ran the neola half marathon together on the morning of the 3rd. Although I did not get pics of the race I did get a picture when we without planning wore our matching shirts on Sunday. (arent we cute) I took off a bit fast on the half marathon and ended up having a side ache that slowed me down the last couple miles. Jeff caught up with me and we ran the last couple miles together. I kept telling him just go if you feel like you could go faster, but he stayed and we ran together. When we got to the finish line we were about to cross and I grabbed jeffs arm and passed him, in jest. So I beat him, but technically he could have trashed me :) I ran a 1:51 so not my PR but ok. I wont run without my watch again. I asked greg wheeler what our pace was at mile 6 and he said 7:45 then and average of 8:15 with the uphill at the first. Wonder why I got a side ache. My mom and Dad came and cheered for us and that was cool. Whit ran the 5k while we were running and then we borrowed Dad's boat and took the kids boating. What a awesome day, life is good!

We are lucky enough to live close enough to both our families to get to spend holiday time with them both. After spending the morning in Rock Creek we went to my parents house for a BBQ and fireworks. It was great fun for the cousin to get to be together. Cousins make families so FUN. What a great holiday!

So happy!

We went to rock creek with the whites for the fourth. We had lots of fun. Jeff and wendi took the kids fishing, they didnt catch anything, but had lots of fun. Kamerie fell in and had to come back early with wendi. We roasted gigantic marshmallows janice had found. The kids thought they were great. It was fun just to relax and let the kids wear themselves out. Whitney tried out alan new horse and tried to convince us we needed to sneak him to our house.

peas please

After over an hour of picking we finally finished our first picking of peas. Shelled we got 20 cups.

Ragnar 2010
This year is my fourth time running ragnar. What a blast! This year at the last minute Liz decided not to run. Her knee has been bothering her since the marathon in may so she decided to opt out. Jeff was excited to take her spot, even thought we had just ran the half marathon the week prior. We had a great time. Jeff actually ran the legs with the greatest distance. (21+ miles) He did awesome! I just wanted to improve my times from last year. I didnt improve my avon pass time, but I had alot more steam in my 3rd leg than last year. Our car had Sheela, Sage, Jeff & I and James and Jill Ross. We stayed at Jills mom's house in henefer. That was so much nicer than trying to sleep in the car. She had foos sat out for us and nice soft beds. Thanks Vicki. Another great year... can't wait for next year.
